  • Recruitment and Retention of qualified staff in licensed child care centers, family child
    care homes and in family, friend & neighbor care provider settings
  • Provide support in navigating the Colorado Shines Professional Development
    Information System (PDIS)
  • Career navigation to support early childhood workforce in navigating the many professional
    development pathways for Teacher Qualifications, Director Qualifications, college coursework leading to Early Childhood Professional Credentials, AA Degree and/or BA in Early Childhood Education.
  • Provide Scholarships for Professional Development & Qualifications for staff in licensed child care
    centers and family child care homes
  • Support with opening of Child Care Centers
  • Provide CoreClarity Collaborative Teaming
  • Support Directors

    • Why did I choose to work in the Early Childhood field?

    As a mom of four amazing daughters, our family began our IEP journey with very little understanding of what was ahead. As we navigated early intervention services, I quickly realized what an incredible difference early childhood programs can make—not only for children, but for entire families.

    That experience sparked a passion for helping others find the same support and encouragement that meant so much to us. Today, I have the privilege of working alongside families, early childhood professionals, and community partners to strengthen the resources available to young children throughout the San Luis Valley. Whether I’m helping build the early childhood workforce, connecting people to resources, or supporting professional growth, my goal is always the same—to help give every child the strongest possible start.
